    Late check-ins need to make arrangements prior on the day of arrival. Office hours are 8:00AM to 8:00PM.

    Same day reservations after 8:00PM local hotel time will not be honored.

    Cancellation Policy (3) days before check-in
    We have a (3) day cancellation policy, to cancel or change your reservation days please let us know at least 72 hours before your arrival date, otherwise you will be charged for the first nights stay including taxes and fees.

    Holiday Cancellation Policy (7) days before check-in
    Holiday reservations require a seven (7) day advance notice to cancel reservations. If cancellation is received within the seven (7) days, guest will be charged for the first nights stay including taxes and fees.

    Smoking Policy
    All rooms are NON Smoking. There is no smoking in the rooms and on the balconies. There will be a $250 cleaning charge for rooms with smoke odor or room damages.

    Overflow Tub Policy
    Over flow tubs will result in a $250 fee plus cost of restoration damages.

    ITEMS REMOVED FROM ROOM(S): You will be financially responsible for items removed from rooms, i.e., Bottle Openers, Glasses, Alarm Clocks, Ice Buckets, Towels, Hair Dryers, etc…

    The Wharf Master's Inn is NOT responsible for Guest’s property left in room(s) or vehicle(s).

    Pet Policy
    Pets are welcome in designated pet friendly rooms, extra charges apply. (Maximum weight 30lbs and under).

    Rate Policy
    Rates are for double occupancy, up to one extra person is allowed (extra person fees apply, no charge for children 5 years and under). Room tax is additional to quoted rates. Reservations may be secured by deposit of first night's room rate.

    Reservations not canceled with a 72 hour notice do incur a penalty fee of the first night's rate plus taxes and fees. This does include no shows. All Major Holidays require a deposit equaling the first night's stay. The remaining balance shall be due upon check-in. Holiday reservations require a 7 day cancellation notice. Reservations cancelled within the 7 day time frame will be charged for the first night's stay including tax.

  • Your health, safety and well being are forefront in our minds as we navigate these unusual times. We truly live in a magnificent place where we treasure our wild open spaces and welcome visitors to share in our experience. Due to the rural nature of the Mendocino Coast, we must do everything we can to protect out little slice of heaven by cooperating with Mendocino County's Health Department COVID-19 mitigation orders and follow the guidance of the CDC.

    We will be following these guidelines set out carefully by our County Health officer to be able to continue offering our guests the rest and relaxation they deserve. The guidelines are as follows:

    All customers are asked to cancel travel plans should they feel symptoms of illness including, but not limited to: a fever over 100 degrees, cough, shortness of breath, chills, muscle pain, chest pressure/pain, severe headache, sore throat and new loss of taste or smell, or having known contact with a COVID-19 infected person in the last two weeks.

    For your convenience, we provide hand sanitizer & face masks in our lobby.

    In the mornings 8am to 10am. In our lobby, we provide self-serve coffee, tea, and some light snacks to start your day.

    Housekeeping Services at this time is by request, and not provided daily. For extended stay guests, we do a room refresher - take the garbage out, replace wet towels, and perform a quick sweep of the room.

    Should a guest become sick during their stay you are asked to notify hotel management for guidance and safe return to your place of residence and/or local hospital. We request notification of positive COVID-19 diagnosis to properly perform "contact tracing" even if a COVID-19 positive test is performed within two weeks of departure from the Coast.

    We wish to assure you that every precaution has been taken to insure that your room, the hotel's lobby and all high touch surface areas are being cleaned with CDC approved cleaning agents with an increased frequency and staff have been re-trained on this protocol to ensure that you have the cleanest, safest experience staying with us.

    We will continue to put your health and well-being first and foremost in our thoughts and thank you for your cooperation in these difficult times.

  • Clean, well behaved, vaccinated, flea & tick treated Pet(s) weighing 30lbs or less are welcome to stay in our pet-friendly suites.

    $35 per Pet - per night ( $70 max / per pet / per week)

    2 Pet maximum per room

    A local adventure guide, waste bags, bowl & paws towel are included with your fur baby’s stay.

    The WMI Pet Etiquette

    Do NOT leave your Pet(s) in your room unattended.

    Please take your Pet out for a walk during housekeeping service.

    For their safety and the safety of guests, all dogs must be on a leash on The WMI grounds. Wild animals do roam the area.

    We expect that dogs will not disturb other guests by barking or whining on the premises.

    Waste pick up is required. There is a special pet disposal for waste.

    Owners are accepting full responsibility for financial damage caused by the Pet. (Examples: Chewing of furniture/architectural structures, ruining of carpets by mud/soiling/chewing, destroying of linens or towels) If damage occurs, owner assume full responsibility for damage caused by their dog(s) Damage fees up to $250

    We ask you to bring your pet’s favorite bedding, any fur on The WMI linens will result in a $250 deep cleaning fee.

    Wharf Masters will supply special towels for our furry friend’s paws. If our bathroom towels are used, there will be an additional charge incurred of $15 per towel. To avoid charges, please notify a staff member that more towels are needed, and we will be happy to assist.

    Wet feet and coats must be wiped before entry into the suite.

    If your dog takes an unexpected swim in the ocean, or dives into some mud or sand, don’t worry, we would be happy to show you where the hose is if you need it. (Your fur baby would not be the first!) Please do not use the bath tub to clean your pet as a deep cleaning fee of $250 will apply.

    Pets are not permitted in dining areas.

    Guests that do not register their dog or guests that bring non-approved pets into a guest room, will be charged $250.

    SERVICE PETS

    Please notify us if you have a service dog for these facilities and we will be happy to make accommodations for overnight stays, dining and common areas. Please supply the inn with “service dog certification papers” and notify a staff member prior to arrival. There will not be a fee applied for a service dog, please advise guest services. All rooms do not accept service dogs, due to allergies some guests might have.

  • Service dogs are welcome when accompanied by a certified and registered owner. Please note: Pet owners must keep their dog on a leash and within their control at all times. Owners are responsible for any damage caused by their dog to the room and will be asked to remove the dog in the event it is disruptive to our other guests.

    When booking your reservation, please remember to state that you are bringing your service dog. Guests that do not register their dog or guests that bring non-registered dog into a guest room will be charged $250.00!

    * Please take your service dog for a walk while we clean your room

    * Service dogs must be on a leash while you are on the Wharf Master's property

    All guest who bring their service dog to Wharf Master's assume full responsibility for damage caused by their dog.
